Weddings are a special moment in everyone’s lives. It’s not just the coming together of two souls, but two families, cultures, and traditions. Recently, an Indian couple, who live in California tied the knot in a lavish ceremony. However, it wasn’t the extravagance which shone the brightest, but it was the unique tweak that they did during their pheras which immediately caught our attention.

The bride, Raadhika Shah, a registered nurse at UCLA Hospital, tied the knot with her groom, Nimit Shah, a product manager at Peloton who also works in his family’s diamond business. Both their families are Jain immigrants in the States. What brought the two together was not their similar family backgrounds but their shared love for Indian cinema.
