Three weeks have passed since Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today Show host, Savannah Guthrie, disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona, home under mysterious circumstances. The Pima County police and the FBI are looking at the case with priority, suspecting kidnapping. After tireless investigation, they found blood trails, five ransom notes, gloves of a masked intruder of Nancy’s house and also a doorcam video of the same person. Amid that, theories surfaced that Nancy Guthrie has been taken to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the site of d**g lord, El Mencho’s death.
Did Nancy Guthrie’s abductors take her to Mexico?
In February 2026, missing persons investigator, Steve Fischer theorised that the 84-year-old, Nancy Guthrie may have been transported to Mexico by her abductors. He noted that approximately two hours after Nancy’s pacemaker lost its Bluetooth connection at 2:28 a.m. on February 1, a small private jet departed Tucson for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, at 4:45 a.m. The flight timing is what made the incident seem unusual, as according to Steve, it was a “very early departure on a Sunday morning.” He wrote:
