Vinoth, slammed Bollywood for not utilising the Aashram actor, Bobby Deol. Speaking to Ananda Vikatan, Jana Nayagan director, H. Vinoth criticised Bollywood for not utilising a talented actor like Bobby Deol. He called him ‘action-hero material’. The director mentioned that Bobby performed far better in the upcoming film, Jana Nayagan, than he expected. He was quoted as saying:
“I don’t know how Hindi cinema let go of Bobby Deol for so long, because he is pure action-hero material. When writing certain characters, we often wonder how they will come across on screen. In this role, he performed far better than I had ever imagined.”
