Popular lyricist, Javed Akhtar and actor-MP, Kangana Ranaut are both known for their fiery comments and opinions on contemporary issues, as well as their talented prowess in the Hindi film industry. Both of these popular Bollywood figures have gotten into online feuds with other celebrities over various issues. However, there was a time when Javed and Kangana engaged in a spat that led to a legal battle in 2020. Five years later, they reached a settlement back in February 2025. The veteran lyricist recently revealed his current equation with actress, Kangana Ranaut.
Javed Akhtar said that Kangana Ranaut had given a written apology
Javed Akhtar, in an interview with The Lallantop, said that all is well between him and Bollywood actress-MP, Kangana Ranaut, with whom he was embroiled in a court battle since 2020. Back in February of 2025, they had reached a settlement in their defamation lawsuits against each other. After resolving their issues, the duo also posed for a happy photo, which the actress posted on her Instagram and penned the caption:
“Today Javed ji and I have resolved our legal matter through mediation, in the mediation Javed ji has been very kind and gracious, he also agreed to write songs for my next directorial.”
