Jordan Ponchez Mason was born on May 24, 1999, in Gallatin, Tennessee, where his story began. Right from an early age, he was deeply inclined towards sports and tried his hand at baseball and basketball, but found solace in football. As he grew up, he began showcasing his potential as an NFL prospect on a broader scale. During his time at Gallatin Senior High School, he was a local standout who set the school’s rushing record with 4,523 career yards. As a senior, Jordan managed 2,050 yards with a 7.9 yards-per-carry average and 23 touchdowns.

In 2017, Jordan Mason became a part of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football program at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The youngster played as a running back (RB) for the Yellow Jackets from 2017 to 2021. As a freshman, he had 108 carries for 659 yards and seven touchdowns, registering an impressive average of 6.1 yards per carry. With 899 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, Jordan attained remarkable numbers as a sophomore and earned the third-team All-ACC honours.
