Kabir Bedi and his relationship with Parveen Babi was the most-talked-about affair in Bollywood. Their love brewed at a time when he was having issues with his first wife, Protima, and they had decided to be in an open marriage. While Protima was in love with a French Guy, Kabir found solace in the arms of Parveen Babi. But they had an ugly breakup after hints of Parveen’s mental health were visible, and he asked her to get herself checked. After years of her shocking demise, Kabir Bedi recalled how he once met a year before her ‘alone death’.
Kabir Bedi recalled the last meeting with Parveen Babi
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kabir Bedi recalled his last meeting with Parveen Babi before a year of her demise. He revealed that Parveen was back in India, and he was also in India, when he met her at a hotel. She was sitting by the poolside, and he met her and asked about her well being. Kabir said:
“Waha Parveen ko dekha vo pool ke pass baithi thi. Or us waqt uski bahut criticism ho rahi thi, kyunki usne us waqt Amitabh Bachchan par aarop lagaye the, and press was saying she was mad, extra. Jab mai mila she said, ‘Hi Kabir.’ I said, ‘Hi Parveen. How are you?’ She said, ‘I am fine, but people think I am mad.’ I said, ‘Parveen don’t worry about what people say everybody have their opinion what is mad what is not.’ (changing his expression) ‘You are also one of them, you also think I am mad.'”
