Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of renowned Bollywood actors, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, made his Bollywood debut with the film, Nadaaniyan. He shared screen space with star kid, Khushi Kapoor, in the movie. However, despite the hype the film generated before its March 7, 2025, release, Nadaaniyan failed to impress the audience. In a recent interview, debutant, Ibrahim opened up about the intense trolling he faced after the release of Nadaaniyan. He also called the movie a really bad film. This comment didn’t go well with Karan Johar, and he is reportedly upset now.
Is Karan Johar reportedly upset with Ibrahim Ali Khan’s statement? Here’s what we know
According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, a close friend of Karan Johar shared that the filmmaker has been well aware of the ungrateful attitude and has dealt with it inside the industry. The source mentioned that Karan kept his promise to launch Saif and Amrita’s son, by casting him in the film, Nadaaniyaan. For the unversed, Karan Johar co-produced the project with Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment. The source was quoted as saying:
“Karan is not a stranger to ingratitude. Many of his protegees have turned out to be ungrateful. Karan had promised to launch Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan’s son and he kept his word. After launching Ibrahim in Nadaaniyan, Karan followed it up with Sarzameen, despite being advised against it. If Ibrahim feels Nadaaniyan was ‘a really bad film,’ why didn’t Sarzameen work?”
