Jitendra Kumar talks about the deleted kissing scene in Panchayat 4
According to a report by the Free Press Journal, Jitendra Kumar stated that Sanvikaa’s comment was blown out of proportion. Jitendra added that when the scene was proposed to him, he asked the makers to consult with Sanvikaa first and obtain her permission. Jitendra mentioned that Sanvikaa’s consent was needed for the scene, as the makers wanted to make it awkwardly funny. Initially, the plan was for the light to go off during the kissing scene, but it was shot differently. Jitendra could be quoted as saying:
“I think Sanvikaa’s comment was taken out of context. When the scene was proposed, I told the makers to ask her first. Her consent was essential. We wanted to make the scene awkwardly funny — like they’re about to kiss, and the light goes off. But eventually, it was shot differently.”
