She claimed that he dragged her to court while she was pregnant, and even denied milk to their kids. After remaining silent for several weeks, Kumar Sanu responded with legal notices.

For the unversed, Rita Bhattacharya accused Kumar Sanu of depriving her children of food and basic necessities when she was pregnant with her third child. The singer released a strong statement against the allegations made about his life through his lawyer, Sana Raees Khan. The statement shared that Kumar has worked hard for over 40 years in his musical career, but ‘hurtful lies’ can only create noise for the moment, and cannot erase the legacy he has created. The statement can be read as:
