Bapurao is a daily wage labourer who dug a well for his wife, who fell prey to casteism. Bapurao Tajne, a resident of Kalambeshwar village in Maharashtra’s Washim district has made the impossible possible. After his wife was denied the use of water from the upper-caste wells, Bapurao decided to dig a well for her. Being a daily wage labourer, he had to manage both his work and the time to dig the well. However, despite having no experience or any hydrological guidance, Bapurao completed digging the well single-handedly within just 40 days.
