The world’s youngest Nobel Prize laureate, Malala Yousafzai, needs no introduction. The fearless Oxford graduate stood up against the most lethal terrorist group, Taliban and brought about an evolution in women’s education facilities. Malala now resides in Birmingham with her husband, Asser Malik and continues to strive for women’s rights to make the world a better place. The activist recently attended the Women’s Gala in New York with her husband, and she shone alongside the Hollywood biggies.
For the unversed, Malala was shot by the Taliban in 2012. The goons shot her right in her forehead and fled from the scene, after which she was taken to Britain for treatment. Malala was attacked as she advocated for women’s education and openly challenged the Taliban against their rigidness towards women. After fighting for her life for ten long days, Malala regained consciousness and gradually gained health with intensive care.
