‘MasterChef Mexico’ Star, Yanin Campos Passes Away At 38, Remained Critical For 2 Days

Yanin Rocío Campos Ruiz was a former MasterChef Mexico contestant and also a social media star who passed away at the age of 38 after succumbing to a car accident that took place in her hometown of Chihuahua. It was on August 2, 2025, when the crash took place, according to a report by The Sun. Yanin was riding with Periférico R. Almada when her car reportedly crashed head-on with a vehicle that was parked. The influencer was then taken to Christus Muguerza del Parque hospital, where she was critical for two days before she passed away on August 4, 2025.

The local authorities have shared that Campos was driving with Periférico R. Almada on August 2, 2025, around 6.30 a.m. It was at this time that her black hued SUV, GMC Terrain did collide with a vehicle that was parked. The incident was confirmed by the Mexican Secretariat of Public Security, which also shared details about the investigation related to the incident. Campos’ brother, Raúl Campos, had confirmed that she passed away in a statement on social media. He had written that she was buried on the same day and a part of the note read:

“To family and friends. We inform and mourn the death of my sister Yanin Campos.”
