Sudiksha Konanki went missing nearly two weeks ago in Punta Cana. However, after an extensive search, her parents came to make the hardest decision of their lives. According to the reports, the US college student was on spring break when the incident took place.
Missing college student, Sudiksha Konanki’s parents have asked the authorities to declare their daughter legally dead
The parents of the US college student, Sudiksha Konanki, wrote to the authorities after the police had extensively searched for their daughter for two weeks. On March 17, 2025, they penned a letter to the authorities requesting them to declare Sudiksha legally dead. In a letter to Dominican police, Subbarayudu Konanki and Sreedevi Konanki stated that the local authorities had come to the conclusion that their daughter drowned the night of the incident. For the unversed, Sudiksha was a 20-year-old student at the University of Pittsburgh. Her parents stated:
“Initiating this process will allow our family to begin the grieving process and address matters related to her absence. While no declaration can truly ease our grief, we trust that this step will bring some closure and enable us to honour her memory.”
