The trailer of Saiyaara, has finally dropped, and it’s already winning hearts online. The film marks the grand debut of two fresh faces, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. To those who don’t know, Ahaan Panday comes from a Bollywood family; he is the cousin of Ananya Panday, which has once again riled up the ever-brewing debate over nepotism. Being a star kid comes with its weight; the expectations are sky-high, and comparisons are inevitable. Mohit Suri on finding leads for Saiyaara
Director, Mohit Suri candidly shared that he had almost scrapped the idea of making Saiyaara with newcomers. He admitted that he hadn’t come across debutants with the acting calibre that the story demanded until he saw Ahaan and Aneet. He was impressed by their acting, emotional depth and called their auditions ‘a breath of fresh air.’ He said:
“I wouldn’t have made Saiyaara if I hadn’t found formidable actors like Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. I was honestly thinking about making something else before my path crossed with Yash Raj Films, which was looking for a young love story and was grooming Ahaan and Aneet to star in such a film.”
