Nigerian Senator, Ned Nwoko, has once again hogged headlines. This time, the political figure has come into the limelight for his stance reaffirming his support of polygamy. The comment has stirred a widespread debate online, with netizens criticising the senator for his statement.
Ned Nwoko encourages men to have more than one wife
According to reports, the 64-year-old lawmaker, Ned Nwoko, made headlines earlier in October 2025 after his sixth wife, Regina, accused him of physically assaulting her. However, the senator denied the allegations and blamed the 25-year-old actress’ behaviour on drug abuse, describing her as violent and destructive. The senator alleged that Regina slapped and assaulted three members of staff and damaged several properties, including cars and windows, “for no just cause”.
