It’s been quite some days since the Nikki dowry case has been making headlines. The partially captured death video of 28-year-old Nikki Bhati has widely been going viral. Amid all the headlines, Nikki’s sister-in-law, Meenakshi Bhati, recently, has come forward and accused Nikki’s family against some serious allegations.
Nikki and Kanchan used to beat Meenakshi Bhati
Recently, India Today has uploaded a video of Meenakshi Bhati talking to Aaj Tak, in which she has accused Nikki’s family. Meenakshi was married to Nikki’s brother, Rohit, and she mentioned that Nikki, her sister, Kanchan, their mother and Meenakshi’s husband, Rohit used to beat her and torture for more dowry. Meenakshi mentioned that she somehow escaped from their torture. In her words:
“Dono behen rehti thi aur maa rehti thi aur Rohit. Dahej ke liye maarte the, kehte the ki chali jaa yaha se, hum apne bhai ki dusri shaadi karenge, tu hume pasand nahi hai. Main gav ki taraf bhagi thi, unse bachkar. Sabko pata hai.”
