The film remains iconic today, and its evergreen tunes are hummed by people across generations. Shah Rukh and Aishwarya had especially left the audience awe-struck with their sizzling chemistry in the film, more so in the song, Morey Piya. However, shockingly, one of the most iconic shots from that song actually featured Salman Khan, despite his strained relationship with Aishwarya.

Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai had embarked on an intense and tumultuous relationship after starring in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. However, by the time the director worked with Aishwarya for Devdas, the couple had broken up and had a strained relationship. Being a friend of Bhansali, Salman would often still visit the film’s sets. Bollywood film critic, Anupama Chopra, in her book, King of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan and the Seductive World of Indian Cinema, recounted an incident on the set involving Salman and Aishwarya.
