Vijay has been known for spearheading a revolution in India’s digital payments and making Paytm one of the leading apps in the startup business. However, he has had his own share of traumatic experiences despite being a topper in school. He shared with Kapil about being humiliated in college as he was not comfortable with English.

Vijay was seen on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show and revealed that he always had discomfort with English in college. He was a topper in the school but had his own set of traumatic experiences. Vijay narrated to Kapil about facing issues with his discomfort with the English language. Vijay shared that he used to sit in the front bench as he was a topper, but when his teacher asked him a question in English, he felt like Taare Zameen Par. He shared:
“Gradually, I fell behind in my studies and was relegated to the back benches, and eventually out of the class.”
