Now, the couple is all set to tie the knot with each other in an intimate wedding in February 2024 in Goa. However, this was not their initial destination choice. The much-in-love couple, Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani were initially going to exchange nuptial vows outside India, but now they have changed the location to Goa. Revealing the reason behind the same, in a conversation with the ETimes, a source close to the soon-to-be-married couple shared that initially, they were thinking about exchanging the nuptials in the Middle East. And after meticulous planning for about 6 months, everything was already set up. But they altered their plans at the last minute, due to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s call for affluent families to hold their wedding festivities within India. The source said:
“Rakul and Jaccky had initially planned for their wedding to take place in the Middle East. After nearly six months of meticulous planning, everything was pretty much in order. However, following the call from the Indian PM in December 2023, urging rich and influential families to choose India as the venue for their big life events, Rakul and Jackky reconsidered their original plans and relocated the wedding to India.”
