Filmmaker, Farah Khan has been winning hearts online with her vlogs alongside her cook, Dilip. Recently, Ram Kapoor along with his wife, Gautami Kapoor were seen on Farah’s vlog having a candid and fun chat, in which he shared insights on his career and weight loss journey. During the candid conversation, Ram Kapoor mentioned himself as an actor and not a star and also shared that his impressive weight loss has not brought any special role to him. His statement once again sparked the debates of nepotism in the entertainment industry.
Ram Kapoor thinks he is not a star
In the vlog, one moment that stuck with the audiences was when Ram Kapoor indirectly talked about nepotism in the industry. When Farah Khan appreciated his weight loss and asked if he is getting more roles after it. To this Ram Kapoor candidly replied that he is not a star, his name is not Khan and he did not lose weight because of career, he did it for himself. Even though his statement was in a light and fun manner, it reminded the viewers of the never-ending debate of nepotism. In his words:
“Some people reach a level in their career where Kaam aata hai because they have nothing more to prove. I am no star, I will never be a star, my name is no Khan. My point is chahe main chota hu ya bada hu, kaam milta hai. Maine ye kaam ke liye nahi kiya, career ke liye nahi kiya, aapne aap ke liye kiya.”
