Imran Khan is one such actor, who can be broadly described as a one-film wonder. Nephew of Bollywood’s perfectionist, Aamir Khan, Imran made his debut as a child actor in the films like, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander. However, it was in 2008, when he gained massive success with the coming-of-the-age rom-com, Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, which bagged him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut the same year. Thereafter, Imran established himself within the chocolate boy era and became a part of some popular films. But Imran gradually faded out from the world of cinema completely, as he chose to step down from his acting spree at the peak of his career.
When Ranbir Kapoor predicted Imran Khan’s early exit from films at the peak of career
Back in one of the older seasons of the chat show, Koffee With Karan, Imran Khan had graced the couch along with his then-contemporary, Ranbir Kapoor. The two of them spoke about their distinct career graphs in the show. However, at one point during the show, Ranbir Kapoor had described Imran in a way that actually became predictive of his career’s future. Well, Ranbir hinted at Imran’s possibility of leaving his career mid-way due to disinterest and mentioned:
“You know, he also seems like someone who, at the peak of their career, would probably leave it. You know, if he just wasn’t interested.”
