However, Ranjeet’s onscreen lecherous persona also became a huge problem for him in real life. In an interview, he revealed how his daughter was misunderstood for this and what he had to do next. For the unversed, the actor is happily married to the love of his life, Aloka Bedi, and the couple is blessed with two kids, a daughter, Divyanka Bedi and a son, Chiranjeev.
Ranjeet recalls how people mistook his daughter with ‘young girls’ and made him uncomfortable
In an interview with ETimes, Ranjeet revealed how people used to assume that his onscreen image also reflects on his real life. However, he mentioned how it used to cause immense embarrassment for him in public, especially when he was with his daughter, Divyanka Bedi. Recalling an incident, Ranjeet mentioned that when he went to a restaurant with Divyanka, people would look at him and comment, assuming he was going out with young girls. Ranjeet revealed:
“I used to visit my daughter when she was studying in Delhi. We would walk together in a restaurant and people would look at me and comment, ‘How disgusting! He is going out with young girls.’ There was a family sitting next to us and the husband kept shouting at them not to look at me. It was really making me uncomfortable.”
