Salman Khan reveals his actual inspiration for the iconic hairstyle in Tere Naam
Years after the release of his film, Tere Naam, Salman brought up an interesting fact about his much-talked-about hairstyle in the film. For the unversed, the film, Tere Naam, starring Salam Khan, got released in 2003. The iconic ‘Tere Naam’ hairstyle was inspired by India’s former president, APJ Abdul Kalam. During a recent conversation with Kapil Sharma on his show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, Salman said that the actual inspiration he got from APJ Abdul Kalam and shared that he always thought that small town heroes have long hair, as he had watched the yesteryear actors doing the same. In his words:
“Ye ‘Tere Naam’ ka jo look hai, woh actually inspired tha Abdul Kalam saab se. I thought that small-town heroes always had long hair. All the old-school heroes had it too – that’s where the inspiration came from.”
