However, in a recent interaction, Sanjay Dutt walked down the memory lane and revealed how he spent his time during his five years of jail sentence. For the unversed, Sanjay was taken under Pune’s Yerwada Jail custody and was sentenced to a five-year imprisonment under the TADA act for his possession of arms that were part of the consignment used in the 1993 blasts.
Sanjay Dutt reveals he learned cooking during his confinement days
Recently, Sanjay Dutt graced the show, Star vs Food Survival, hosted by chef Ranveer Brar. During his interaction with the host, Sanjay revealed how he spent his leisure time in Pune’s Yerwada Jail. Sanjay shared that big stars, including Anna, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and Shah Rukh Khan came to wish him well the first time he went to jail. The actor also said that he didn’t overthink it cause he had accepted that he had to go for it; thus, he managed himself accordingly. Sanjay further mentioned that he learned to cook, read scriptures, and even started working out during his jail stay. Elaborating more on the same, Sanjay stated:
“The first time I went to jail if you see the photographs outside Thane jail – Anna, Akshay, Ajay, Shah Rukh, everybody came and wished me well. I had no respite from serving jail time, so why overthink it? I had to make up my mind that yes I had to go. I have to face it. In six years, I faced it, managed it, made the most out of it, and learned from it. I used that time to learn cooking, scriptures, and working out. I came out with a better physique.”
