Satish Shah, at the age of 74, underwent a kidney transplant earlier this year to take care of his ailing wife, Madhu. Actor and filmmaker, Sachin Pilgaonkar, in a media interaction, revealed that Satish Shah underwent a kidney transplant to extend his wife’s life. He added that his wife is also not well as she has been suffering from Alzheimer’s. The 74-year-old actor was on dialysis. Sachin was quoted as saying:
“He got a kidney transplant only to extend his wife’s life. Unfortunately, even Madhu isn’t well. She has Alzheimer’s. This year, Satish got his kidney transplanted. He wanted to extend his life so that he could take care of Madhu. He was on dialysis. Earlier, he underwent a bypass surgery, which was successful.”
