Kaanta Laga girl, Shefali Jariwala, in a shocking turn of events, passed away on June 27, 2025, in Mumbai. The actress was 42 and had left behind her husband, Parag Tyagi, her dog, Simba and her grieving family members. Shefali’s Rakhi brother was Hindustani Bhau, a.k.a. Vikas Fhatak. He was seen at Cooper Hospital, Mumbai, where Shefali’s body was taken for post-mortem. Hindustani Bhau broke down as he spoke to the press outside the hospital and revealed fond memories with her.

For the unversed, it was inside the sets of Salman Khan hosted controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 13 in 2019, that Hindustani Bhau met Shefali. He went to see his deceased sister, Shefali, one last time at Cooper Hospital, and it was there that he broke up. He proudly said that the actress was his sister and remembered how she used to call him during Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Festival and also during Bhau Beej time. In his words:
“Bura hua. Soch bhi nai sakte thei ki aisa hoga. Joh saal mei meko 2-3 baar meko bahut subah se leke shaam tak joh phone bajte thei. Ek toh Raksha Bandhan ke time, Ganpati Bappa ke time aur ek Bhau Beej ke time,bass mobile mei toh bass naam hai uska, phone nai bajega. Behen thi woh meri.”
