Recently, an old video of Shilpa Shetty surfaced on social media wherein she was seen taking a subtle dig at Karan Johar for encouraging nepotism. Shared by a Reddit user, the video was from the actress’ appearance on the show, Koffee With Karan, wherein she was talking about her career graph with Karan Johar. In the video, Shilpa mentioned that she never got the support of big production houses in Bollywood despite working for ages in showbiz. She said:
“I have been working since 17, and I may not have had the Karan Johars and the Yash Chopras backing me.”
