Shilpa Shetty remembers being left unpaid in many of her films during the 90s

In a candid chat with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Shilpa Shetty recalled a difficult phase in her life, and mentioned how back in the 90s, she was frequently left unpaid by many filmmakers. The actress revealed how under the pretext of incurring losses at the box-office, producers would pay her half the fees and cut down on the remaining. In her words:

“There are films of the 90s which I worked in, and the producers would say, ‘Oh, we incurred losses.’ So, I didn’t get the remaining fees also. That time was very different.”
