Consequently, it’s easy to think she had it easy in the industry, but that wasn’t the case. Despite having popular parents, Shruti faced her fair share of troubles after the separation of her parents. In a recent interview, the actress shared how her parents’ divorce affected her and transformed her life quickly.
Shruti Haasan reveals she lived an uncomfortable life after her parents’ divorce
Shruti Haasan recently sat down for an interview with Filmfare and discussed some lesser-known aspects of her life, including her parents’ divorce. For those unaware, Kamal Haasan and Sarika tied the knot in 1988 but legally parted ways in 2004, when Shruti was growing up. She shared that during that phase, her life changed from big mansions and luxury cars to local trains in Mumbai. Unlike people’s perception, she did live an uncomfortable life. In her words:
“No, because a lot of people don’t know what happened to me prior to me joining the film industry. I was humbled by life with my parents’ separation. We were not living in the big mansion, and when my mom decided to leave, we moved from Chennai to Mumbai. It wasn’t comfortable.”
