Sowmya Sathyanarayana, better known as Soundarya was an extremely talented actress in the Indian film industry. She worked in many Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films. More than her acting, it was Soundarya’s beauty which captivated millions of hearts. Born on July 18, 1972, in a town located in the Kolar district and was raised in Bengaluru, Soundarya entered the film industry at the age of 20.
She was regarded as one of the greatest actresses in the history of Telugu cinema. She made her debut in the film industry with S. Siddalingaiah’s Kannada movie, Baa Nanna Preethisu in 1992. Throughout her acting career, Soundarya bagged six Filmfare Awards South, three Nandi Awards, and two Karnataka State Film Awards for her exceptional acting prowess.
