Sushmita Sen Talks About Absence Of Father In Daughters’ Lives: ‘You Don’t Miss What You Never Had’

Sushmita Sen has always been an inspiration for many with her ideologies and the way she has been leading her life. Recently, Sushmita opened up about the misconception that there is an ‘imbalance’ in the lives of her daughters, Renee and Alisah because of the absence of a father. For the unversed, Sushmita adopted her first daughter as a single mother at the age of 24, and later in 2010, she adopted another baby girl.

Sushmita is soon going to be seen in Ravi Jadhav’s biopic on transgender activist, Shreegauri Sawant. In an interview with ETimes, Sushmita expressed her opinion on the importance of fathers in a child’s life. While she agreed with the role of a father on a child, she cleared the air that there is no ‘imbalnce’ in the lives of her daughters due to the absence of one. She was quoted as saying:

“Like everything else in life, you don’t miss what you never had.”
