
The Pitt is back with the new season, and episode one, which is titled 7 A.M premiered on January 8, 2026. Season 2 will consist of a total of 15 episodes and will be available on HBO Max. For the unversed, The Pitt 2 will also follow an hour-by-hour shift at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Centre (PTMC). Season 2’s first episode showed a 10-month jump from Season 1’s last episode, which means it’s a new academic year for the residential and medical students, with certain characters being promoted, and some new characters arriving. What’s new in The Pitt 2, episode 1, 7 A.M?
Most of the cast from Season 1 is back, and they will be sharing the screen with a few faces, such as ‘Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi’ played by Sepideh Moafi. Some other new faces are third-year medical student ‘Joy Kwon’ played by Irene Choi, and fourth-year medical student ‘James Ogilvie’, essayed by Lucas Iverson, along with a new nurse ‘Emma’, whose role will be played by Laetitia Hollard.
