The finale of season 7 of FBI left viewers on the edge of their seats, confused and eager. As the special agent in charge, ‘Isobel Castille’ was shown collapsed after her mission, her pulse was missing, and the screen turned black. Fans were left in suspense, eagerly awaiting the Season 8 premiere to discover her fate. Well, the Season 8 premiere does see the loss of one team member of its own, but there’s a major twist.
Did the SAC Isobel actually die?
The start of the episode kept viewers in the dark about what happened to Isobel after last season’s shocking cliffhanger. ‘Jubal’ was staring at the empty office of ‘Isobel,’ where she had collapsed. When the assistant director was sitting in ‘Isobel’s chair and asked ‘Jubal’ how he was doing, but he could not answer, only stammered, “Well, you know, given the circumstances… I don’t know.”
‘Jubal,’ named special agent in charge and assistant director, kept his face straight and said what happened to ‘Isobel’ was “unthinkable,” without specifying her condition. “The wheel is yours,” the assistant director declared, but ‘Jubal’ seemed somewhat unsure in his new position. Later, her husband, ‘Philip’, in a conversation with ‘Jubal’, said that the doctors think a brain bleed might be the reason she is not waking up, and they are preparing for her surgery.
