The film is based on the real-life murder of a Udaipur tailor, Kanhaiya Kumar, and it shows the ordeal his family went through just as he voiced an opinion in support of something. As the film is released and being appreciated, a seat is left empty in the theatre for the soul of Kanhaiya Kumar.

Recently, Yash Sahu, the son of Kanhaiya Kumar, made an appeal and revealed that the film is a message from the family to the people who have been dealing with the pain of their father’s brutal murder. On the day of the special screening of the film, Yash shared that his mother wasn’t able to see the film due to the pain and trauma, but a seat has been kept vacant for the soul of his father, Kanhaiya Kumar, with a photo of him on it.
