In the latest interview with lifestyle coach, Luke Coutinho, Vidya Balan opened up about body positivity. Talking about the same, the actress revealed the body image issues that she suffered as a child and how her mother made her follow a strict diet early on in life. Vidya stated that her mother was afraid that she would be judged for being chubby, so she would do things to make her lose weight. The actress added that her mother grew up to be chubby, so she didn’t want the former to be judged just like her. In her words:

“My mother had this fear that I was a chubby girl. So she was constantly doing things to make me lose weight because she grew up a big girl. She was scared about the fact that I would be judged like her.”
