However, his path towards acting was not a bed of roses. He had to fight with his family, run away from his home and make a lot of sacrifices. In a recent interview, Vijay opened up about having a complex relationship with his father and why he had to run away from his home.

In an interview with Film Companion, Vijay Varma shared that initially, he had a very love-filled relationship with his family members. Moreover, his parents fulfilled all his demands during his younger days. However, once he started having his own thoughts, he formed a ‘complex relationship’ with his father. Vijay shared:
“It started with a great deal of love when I was a little boy. Then a great deal of hero worship that I had for him in my younger days. He used to fulfill every demand of mine; I was the youngest so I was spoilt. Until I came to an age where I started to have my own thoughts and he didn’t like it.”
