Just days after Celeste Rivas’s body was identified, Texas police responded to an active shooter call at D4vd’s family home in Hampstead. According to TMZ, Officers rushed to the scene on September 18, 2025, after reports claimed someone inside had been shot. However, when they arrived, they were met by the singer’s parents, who assured them everyone was safe
According to bodycam footage obtained by the outlet, D4vd’s mother calmly explained that only she, her husband, their son, and daughter were present at the property. Moreover, no one was harmed in the case. Police checked the house but found nothing unusual. Authorities later confirmed it was a “swatting” incident, a malicious hoax call meant to provoke an armed police response.
