Amitabh Bachchan and his wife, Jaya Bachchan are counted amongst the most evergreen couples in the Hindi film industry. The couple is blessed with two kids, Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. They have been staying happily with each other for more than 50 years and have been one another’s strongest support system through thick and thin. However, once one of their close friends, the late politician, Amar Singh, who was a member of the Rajya Sabha representing the Samajwadi party, revealed that Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan have been living separately. This was quite enough to stir Amitabh and Jaya’s fans, who hail the couple for their bonding.
When a politician made a shocking claim about Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan
In a 2017 interview with ABP Majha, Amar Singh claimed that his close friend, Amitabh Bachchan and his wife, Jaya Bachchan were living separately in two different homes. The late politician mentioned that Amitabh and Jaya had taken this move in their marriage much before meeting him. Thus, he can’t be given the onus of the same. While Amitabh was living in Pratiksha, Jaya was living in Janak. However, Amar was not sure about the reason behind their differences. In Amar Singh’s words:
“Even before I met Bachchans, Amitabh and Jaya were living in separate houses. One of them was living in Pratiksha and the other lived in Janak. When I was with them, then too they weren’t living together.”
