When Trishala Dutt revealed that she had to be strong for her family after Sanjay Dutt was jailed
Trishala Dutt is the only child of Sanjay with his late first wife, Richa Sharma. After decades of legal troubles, the actor was sentenced to serve six years in prison and was sent to the Yerwada jail in Pune in 2013. In an interview with Hindustan Times in 2015, Trishala revealed how she dealt with this situation. Sanjay’s daughter stated that she knew that she won’t be able to talk to her father regularly for the next 2-3 years. Hence, Trishala, who was nearly 25 at the time, realised that it was time to handle the situation with maturity and be strong for her family and herself. In the interview, she was quoted as saying:
“When he went to jail, and I knew I wasn’t going to hear regularly from him for the next two-three years, that’s when I realised that it’s time to grow up. Yes, I was sad, but I had to be strong for my family and myself.”
