When Zeenat Aman’s Ex-Love, Deepak Parashar Revealed His Mom Didn’t Approve Their Relation

Popular veteran actress, Zeenat Aman was one of the top heroines of her time. She had an immense fan following, and one of her die hard lovers was ’90s actor, Deepak Parashar. He was known for his fine acting chops, crisp looks, personality and used to give a tough fight to Amitabh Bachchan. Deepak had also won Mr India back in 1976 but could not convince his mother about his relationship with Zeenat.

When Deepak Parashar shared why he could not marry Zeenat Aman

Zeenat, at 19, was the winner of the, Miss Asia Pacific pageant (1970). Since her childhood, cinema and dancing attracted her, and in 1971, she made her debut with Hare Ram Hare Krishna opposite Dev Anand. Deepak, on the other hand, made his Bollywood debut with, Insaaf Ka Tarazu opposite Zeenat, and created a hit. His film, Nikaah (1982), gave him immense success too and during this period, he and Zeenat were reportedly dating. His love for her knew no bounds, but his mom was against the relationship. Once in an interview with Times Network, Deepak shared:

“Zeenat Aman and I were friends and we shared our joys and sorrows together. We became closer by the day but my mother put a full stop to it. She said ‘You will not be successful if you marry her,’ so I was in two minds.”
