Victoria Goodwin, the estranged wife of Aaron Goodwin, was arrested and later sentenced to prison in March 2025 for conspiring to hire a hitman to kill him. The murder-for-hire plot was uncovered after police found incriminating text messages between Victoria and a convicted triple murderer named Grant Amato, whom she met through a true-crime documentary. In April, Victoria accepted a plea deal and pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit murder. She was sentenced to between 3 and 7.5 years in a Nevada prison in June 2025.
