Why has Ridiculousness been cancelled?

According to Variety and TMZ, MTV’s top leadership decided to cancel Ridiculousness directly. For the unaware, the network recently merged with Paramount Skydance. Some inside sources revealed that the cast and crew were informed earlier this week that the current season would be their last. Although the already produced episodes would continue to air till 2026, no new ones will be film. The shooting had reportedly stopped in July 2025 and was expected to resume in January 2026. But the authorities decided to stop the filming. Sources cite that the decision is part of the network’s plan to “reimagine MTV for the future.”
