Saweety Boora, who has been an Arjuna awardee and former world boxing champion, has been going through a rough patch. She has logged an FIR Against her husband, Deepak Hooda and accused him and his family of assaulting her for dowry. For the unversed, Saweety Boora married Kabaddi player, Deepak Hooda, who is also an Arjuna awardee, in 2022. After two years of marital bliss, she filed a complaint against him.
Saweety Boora accused her husband of beating her
On February 25, 2025, an FIR was lodged on the basis of Saweety’s complaint. The SHO of the women’s police station revealed that they had sent notice to Saweety’s husband, but he had not turned up. When PTI reached Deepak, he stated that he had been having health issues as he was in trauma after the incident. He said:
“I have submitted a medical certificate and requested a later date. I will certainly go there (to the police station) but I won’t make a negative comment against my wife. I have not been allowed to meet her.”
