Harshvardan Rane will step down from appearing in the upcoming sequel, Sanam Teri Kasam 2, if it features his co-star, Mawra Hocane. For the unversed, Harshvardhan and Mawra came together to work as a pair in the film, Sanam Teri Kasam, in 2016. But the film couldn’t do well at the box office. However, the film was re-released on February 7, 2025. With its re-release, it created wonders and emerged as the highest-grossing re-released Indian film.
Everything was going well until the Indo-Pak tensions arose after the heinous Pahalgam attack. Amid the ongoing tensions between the two countries, Harshvardhan took to his Instagram stories and shared a post about not being part of the sequel, Sanam Teri Kasam 2, if the previous cast is being repeated. The actor also slammed his co-star, Mawra Hocane, for making derogatory comments on India’s Operation Sindoor.
