However, just before its release, makers had decided to step back from releasing the movie in theatres and release it on the OTT platform. This has brought Dinesh Vijan’s production house, Maddock Films, into legal trouble, caused by PVR Cinemas.

For the unversed, Rajkummar Rao and Wamika Gabbi’s movie, Bhool Chuk Maaf was all set in the theatres on May 9, 2025. Well, it was only a few days before the release, when the makers decided that the movie wouldn’t be released in the theatres, and rather will be released on the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video, on May 16, 2025. The decision was taken as the current situation between the two countries, India and Pakistan has escalated. Well, this has brought Dinesh Vijan’s production house, Maddock Films, into legal trouble.
