When Preity Zinta Became A Mother To 34 Orphan Girls When She Turned 34, ‘I Have Adopted’

Punjab Kings owner, Preity Zinta is excited as her team has made it to the finals of the Indian Premier League 2025. The actress who was known as Bollywood’s dimple queen made her debut in the Hindi film industry with Shah Rukh Khan, Manisha Koirala’s movie, Dil Se. Preity has won the hearts of her fans with her work in iconic movies like Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Dil Chahta Hai, Dil Hai Tumhaara, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Kal Ho Naa Ho, to name a few. It was in 2016 that the actress got married to Gene Goodenough. However, do you know that Preity had adopted 34 kids when she was 34 back in 2009?

Preity and Gene are parents to adorable twins-Jai and Gia, who came into their lives via surrogacy. Although, do you know the actress even before her marriage became a mom to 34 kids? Preity is known for her social work and also humanitarian campaigns where she gives help to underprivileged ladies and kids. However, when she was 34, she decided to adopt 34 orphans right from, Mother Miracle orphanage located in Rishikesh. The actress had even addressed the media about adopting the 34 girls and shared:

“I’ve adopted 34 girls. I’ll be looking after their entire upbringing from education to food, clothes etc. You’ve no idea how wonderful it feels to hear the excited chatter of all these girls together. These are my children now, my responsibility. I’ll be constantly connected with them and I’ll visit them twice a year.”
